Products


Maxion sells a variety of distributed feedback (DFB) single-mode and Fabry-Perot (FP) multi-mode laser products as well as light emitting diodes (LEDs) and cavity LEDs. These laser and LED products fall into two categories: inventory products and custom products.

Inventory products were fabricated and tested during the course of earlier development work. These devices are regularly added to this website's online inventory list (Multimode Lasers, Single Mode Lasers, and Specialty Devices) and can be shipped to customers within one week of purchase.

Custom products are fabricated from newly grown semiconductor material that is designed to meet a customer’s specific performance requirements. Delivery time for custom products can vary, depending on the details.

Data sheets for inventory products can be downloaded from this website for customer review. These are regularly updated to reflect newly added products and customer sales.

Most inventory products are packaged on standard C-mounts; some are mounted on two-hole and four-hole M-mounts. Custom mounts and other industry standard mounts (e.g., TO-3 mounts) can also be used to meet specific customer requirements.




Multimode Lasers

Maxion's multimode inventory laser products usually have uncoated facets. Some devices have HR-coated rear facets, and custom products can be coated to meet customer requirements. These multimode lasers are suitable for use in several application areas.
Single Mode Lasers

QC laser on C-mount

Maxion's single mode inventory laser products usually have uncoated facets. Wavelength selectivity is achieved via coupling of the laser cavity modes to device-integrated grating structures. Side mode suppression ratios typically range between 25 and 30 dB.


Specialty Devices

In addition to our single laser products, Maxion sells linear arrays of IC and QC lasers to meet customer requirements. We also sell IC and QC gain chips with anti-reflection (AR) coatings for customers developing external cavity devices. AR coatings on LED products can also be custom ordered.
Custom Orders

Maxion has a significant inventory of laser and LED products, and many of these are not yet represented on this website’s inventory lists. Consequently, if you do not see a laser that interests you, please inquire about available products using our Product Information Request form. Be sure to indicate the product characteristics that are essential to your application.
